Restaurants in Atlantic City

The casinos and major hotels all have several restaurants each in addition to the many local restaurants. In many cases you can get steep discounts on your meals at a casino as part of a tour package.

One of the things that struck us was that the food seems reasonably priced when compared with similar offerings in our home area of Bucks County and Philadelphia. Sunday Brunch at the Borgata cost over $70 for two adults and a 12 year old. However, the variety offered made it well worth the cost.

Each of the casinos seems to have it's own flavor of restaurants. For example, the Borgata has a number of fine dining establishments while the Trop has it's share of chains. Overall, you will probably find something to suit your tastes at any of the casinos.

    • Polistina's Italian Ristorante - Italian.. (It surely wouldn't be Mexican or Chinese with a name like that, would it?)

    • Wolfgang Puck American Grille - A tavern and main dining room serving American Cuisine
    • The Metropolitan - American cuisine with an Oyster Bar and a Gelato Bar - You can eat inside or in the faux al fresco area
    • Borgata Buffet - Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner - We tried the brunch for $70 for 2 adults and a 12 year old. They had a great selection. The waitress wasn't the best (ie putting a teapot right on my wife's glasses.). However the rest of the service was terrific.
    • Bread + Butter - An american cafe with lots of carbs (Bread). Mostly Sandwiches
    • Risi Bisi - Pizza, Panini and salads.
    • N.O.W. - No this is not a 'women only' restaurant... It's Asian food with an emphasis on noodle dishes.
    • Gypsy Bar - Note that the sign has the B in Bar backwards. Our son thought it might be that way so that if you drank enough, it would look normal. The cuisine is billed as 'eclectic' which is a fancy way of saying 'bar food'. The leather chairs in the bar sure looked comfortable.
