    If you want to stay right in the heart of the action, you can book a room in one of the casino hotels listed below. Atlantic City is divided into the Downbeach, Midtown, Uptown and Marina Districts.

    • Downbeach - the southern end of the casino district with casinos located along the beach and boardwalk

    • Midtown - Between the Downbeach and Uptown districts with casinos located along the beach and boardwalk

    • Uptown - The Northernmost district along the beach and boardwalk

    • Marina - Located in the northwest part of Atlantic City. These casinos are not on the beach or boardwalk. The Trump Marina and Harrah's have some docking facilities for boaters.

    The rates are fairly consistent among the hotels. Weekdays are usually about half the cost of weekends. Holiday rates are priced higher than weekends. During most weekends, and especially on Holidays, it is difficult, if not impossible, to find rooms at the last minute. Be sure to book at least a week or two in advance.
